Dementia Engaged and Empowered Derry & Strabane (DEEDS)

The DEEDS Project is designed for people living with a diagnosis of mild stage dementia who are living independently in the community with the support of their families and friends. We aim to support people to stay physically active and mentally stimulated. We deliver our groups and activity sessions in multiple locations across Derry and Strabane District Council Area to assist people to stay involved in their own local community. 

DEEDS provide a 4-week education programme designed for carers of those living with dementia.  The programme involves giving carers more knowledge around dementia, and an understanding of how to support their loved one.  There will be an opportunity to meet other families in a safe supportive environment.
