Headway the brain injury association is a charity providing support to individuals living with brain injury and their carers. Headway’s aims and objectives are: To promote understanding of all aspects of brain injury and provide information, support and services to survivors, their families and carers. In addition, Headway will campaign to reduce the incidence of brain injury.
Services:
- Headway ABI Outreach Service offers weekly support groups across Northern Ireland for adults 18 + who have had an Acquired Brain Injury, (ABI) or Traumatic Brain Injury, tumour, stroke, brain haemorrhage and encephalitis, to name a few.
- Providing information and support for people with brain injuries, their relatives, carers and concerned professional people.
- Assisting people with brain injuries to return to community living, including access to appropriate accommodation, social outlets and productive activity
